This year’s walk is a NEW VENUE. We are at the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum at 9201 Balloon Museum Dr NE, Albuquerque. CLICK HERE for a MAP. Heading north or south on Interstate 25, take the Alameda Blvd exit heading west. Go about one-half mile west on Alameda Blvd and turn right on Balloon Museum Drive NE. The event will be clearly marked.
There will be Food Trucks serving breakfast
The Supper Truck and Kamikaze Food Truck will join us for this year’s NAMIWalk event. Check out menus of The Supper Truck on their web page HERE. This is how the owner describes his food, “I would describe our menu as a Southern fusion menu with a modern twist,” Freeman said. “The menu concept was developed to have Southern roots with street food Asian components.”
Be part of the 1st Annual NAMIWalks Balloon Launch
It’s our 15th year for NAMIWalks in New Mexico, and we finally realized we are in the Balloon capitol of the world. We will be adding a balloon component to this year’s walk with both launches and tethered balloon rides.

Starbucks is serving FREE coffee and tea
Starbucks is donating FREE morning coffee and tea to this year’s event. Get to the field early, grab yourself some delicious Starbucks coffee or tea and check out all the stuff happening inside and outside the event. By the way, its OK to tip your Starbucks barista!
We’ll have Bee Bee the Clown and Jungle Janet Face Painting the kids and any adults with the courage to try
Kids love their faces to be painted and we have Bee Bee the Clown and Jungle Janet, the city’s best. Let the kids imagination go wild! Our face painters are experienced and can paint almost anything your kids will dream up.
NAMIWalks is a pet friendly event
So long as FIDO is on a leash and you are willing to pick-up after FIDO we welcome your pets. There will be a Doggie Station for water and poop bags at the event. In addition, if FIDO doesn’t behave well with HOT AIR BALLOONS, you may want to re-consider bringing FIDO.

We have a climbing Wall for the Kids
Climbing uses every muscle in the body, and many, many parts of the brain! Climbing is awesome for children and kids love to climb. You won’t have to drag them away from their computer game to get them to our climbing wall.
We have photographers taking TEAM pictures
Get your team there early and make sure the TEAM CAPTAIN picks up a Team Sign. There will be a Photographers Table that will be clearly marked out on the field where you can pick up your sign. Gather as many team members and memorialize the day’s walk!
